my muse

The other day I was asked what inspires me...
Where do you get your inspiration?...for your photography, what gets to you and reflects in your work?

I thought about the question and then started to convey my answer.  As I stumbled through my response, I realized my muse is really such a personal thing...
Things that I started to say seemed silly and irrelevant to others when expressed out loud as things that inspire me...but really they're not silly at all..not to me.

Things that I express as bits of inspiration to me, that guide my creativity seem insignificant to others and therefore represent the personal nature of my inspiration for photog and for life. 
They're things I can say out loud, but I don't expect any one to really understand cuz its just for me...my muse:)

With all that said...here are a few...

imagery language/words (creamy texture, lacekissed, dreamy, essence, intoxicating, lyrical, ebony)

works of others (photos, design, fontface, etc)

feelings (love, hope, joy)

ideals (dreams, wants, wishes, desire)

music.lyrics 

("I believe in anything that brings you home, back to me."

"You'll remember this because it isn't meant to be turned into a memory that stays until it fades away"

"It makes me smile because you said it best"

"We share too many flaws for you to justly call me out on mine"

"Well there's that charming face you wear so well.")

welp there you have it. silly? maybe to you;)

oh and ps. pulled the trigger and went back to the natural color of my roots today, which has apparently gotten alot darker over the years...here it is!
