...I don't know whether it's the huge change in my life that's about to happen or I'm just being an emotional girl right now, buuut, I've been reminded of memories alot lately.

You know those songs that just remind you of specific events or certain times or people in your life?...
Those songs that bring back suuch good memories, that you just want to go right back to that moment?...
The songs that will forever be your favorite just because of that one person you will always associate it with?...
That specific song that buffers the moment and lets you reminisce for a bit about the times when you remember it most clearly?...

Well I have these songs...lots of them...pretty much most of them..

I heard one today...
I was listening to the FM radio in my car...which I rarely do, and I heard one that I hadn't heard for a very, very long time..
Trisha Yearwood: An American Girl

This songs reminds me of these things and this specific time that I miss so dearly and definately brings out the sentimentalness (is that a word..):

  • listening to it every morning with my sister, we shared a Jack&Jill bedroom setup with the bathroom in the middle and we'd play it every morning getting ready for school
  • living in Beaver, UT in our beautiful 3-story, log-cabinesque home, right up against the mountain with a private creek running through the distant backyard
  • this was the song that was played the yr the 'Lawnmower Trip' came to be.
  • Dad and Ry gone all summer, driving 3,336 miles, Ry on his lawnmower, Dad is the trailer, to raise money for a girl that needed a liver transplant
  • not having a care in the world
  • playing with friends everyday, no work, no stress
  • the summertime happiness (I know you know what I'm talking about...that happiness that just comes for the pure fact that it's summer!)
  • having bbqs on the wrap around deck

I loved these times.  I'm so grateful for these memories that I've made with my fam and friends and all the opportunities I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy each day that brings me such happiness.
