story time.

ok so this is my 3rd blog post today. don't judge me. it'll probably make up for all the times in the near future when i will neglect blogging for a while. 

mostly i dont blog because i dont have pictures to put up and i feel like that is the main purpose for me having this...aesthetically pleasing images and design.  anywho, the second reason that causes me to not blog is because i don't have anything exciting to say or any cool stories.  i feel like all the friends and peoples' blogs i read always have good stories or insightful messages! ahh im really behind.

well heres the storytime for me today.  i have lately been thinking about how many funny things happen in my life or how many funny things people say that i just love and i always forget to write them down.  when we worked at the post office all those christmases (yep 4 to be exact ahhh) there was sooo many funny things that happened and i swore after that that i would always write that stuff down cuz you don't realized how quickly you forget those things.  well, just within the past few months i havent exactly been journaling, as much as writing quotes and phrases from funny things that happened in my phone.  once i know read the phrase i can pretty much remember the story.  so here are some goodies.  most probably won't think they're nearly as funny or important as i do or the people involved, but im pretty sure no one really reads my blog anyway so its good irrelevant haha.

"just keep talking about jesus, some people just might be listening..."

i don't remember exactly who said this or where i heard it, but it stuck with me.  it references the fact that we never know who's watching us or listening to what we say.  We never know who we are having an impact on and how we are presenting the gospel and its standards to others, but eventually as we keep with our promises made to the lord and desire to teach others by example or words, there will most definately be someone that is changed and inspired to know more.

ok, for all you bachelorette fans out there...this ones for you!  thank you crazy casey for making that one of the best episodes ever!  these lines speak for themselves.  i was obsessed with the bachelorette and every time this guy would come on and sing his little songs to her and spit those lines we laughed sooo hard.  who is this guy?!

ok these are some of the greatest ones.  but these are the ones that no ones truly going to appreciate unless you were involved in the moment.  ill do my best to describe but ultimately youll just have to remember how i pretty much laugh at everything and find funnyness in most avenues.

the first dialogue, if you can really even call it that, deals with girl dating drama (oh and i guess ill have to censor the names cuz things could get crazy down the road!)...

girl1 "i dont know, i just dont think he likes me enough..."
girl2 "well..he might..."
hhahaha i loved this moment soo much because that is exactly the phrase you don't wanna hear! haha its pretty much like saying, "ya everything we know about this sitch is pointing us and shouting out loud that he doesnt like you, but because im your friend and this is what we do, im gonna give the slightest bit of hope and say "HE MIGHT!" haahhaha

ok soo the next one is about our house...we've been working on painting it for quite some time now...well pretty much since we moved in and long before.  ill admit, i hate painting. i kinda hate helping whenever i hear that we are painting.  i kinda have a bad attitude about it and i really dont do much...

hahaha i just loved this because it was on a sunday morning and it supposed to be the day of rest and hil was the only one of us that was making an effort to get things done and paint and we kinda just joke that she was slave driver of painting and our only out was the fact that we were out of paint and couldnt go get any til monday! hahahah  again..prob not funny at all to most of you. but painting and painting and painting everyday, in and out, over and over...well, those are hard times indeed.

alright so lets me real, this is probably the best phrase ive written down since i started this whole journaling-in-the-phone deal.  it kinda dates back over all the years you ever started dating and dreaming about a wedding.  but there is a small story behind this. and then once you know the story. you'll understand the rest of the quotes we mostly always say all the time and jokes we reference to over and over...

"when i get married..."

hahahahaha seriously?!  who are we to even say that that is going to happen?! i mean i know thats a little pessimistic and negative to think that way, but when you really think about it, GIRLS...and some guys....think about how many times you say that phrase and plan things of your life according to that specific "THING" (MARRIAGE) happening...hahaha its really a joke to think about...
the realization all started one day when we were painting the house and hil was asking me about my photog..(this story is kinda embarassing just a little bit hahah) anywho, we were chattin about my plans for it and all that and then she asked me what i called it and i said chantel marie photography.  i told her i wanted it to be chantel marie instead of chantel tripp because, "WHEN I GET MARRIED"...i dont want to have to change everything or cause confusion because of a different last name! hahahahhaha wwhaaaat?! yep, kinda stupid. but kinda legit right?  anyways after i said that and thought about it, we all dropped our paint brushes and started laughing soooo hard.  then hil was like "whoooo are we?!"  hahah "what even gives us that right to say that.  i mean we all do, we all say stuff like that, but its like its this magical thing that NO MATTER WHAT ISSS going to happen!" hahah but seirously its true. i mean why do we just EXPECT to get married?  i mean obviously its still in my plans but now i just dont say stuff like that anymore because i think about this story...actually now i say stuff like that alll the time because we laugh at it even harder because of the story.

so here are some precious little moments we've had after our realization about "when i get married"

(I was taking the trash outside at our house and this was said to me) "hey chantel, you know what? when you get married you won't have to take that trash out anymore!"

"i kinda wanna cut my hair like that girl"
"youu should it would be soo cute!"
"but, no no i cant!"
"why?"
"cuz when i get married...."
hahahahahah enough said, but ill finish for you out there who just dont get it ("cuz when i get married i want my hair to be long for my wedding")  raise your hand if you've ever said or thought that one! uhh hu we've all been there. still there.

(the man i marry) "i know what he looks like."
hahahahah this one is priceless. that is taking the whole "when i get married" deal to the extreme! hahahah, dont worry, we never let her live that one down.

alright, this is getting to be  reallyyyy long post, but ill end with this one, of my great parents who us kids always find so much humor in:

dads watching tv and moms trying to talk to him. he doesnt respond very well, or pay attention at all.  (seems to be pretty much the situation with any guy watching tv)

mom: honey you're addicted to tv.
dad: honey, you're addicted to weirdness.

hahahahhaha he just felt like he had to come up with some comeback to my mom! hahahahh "addicted to weirdness" what does that even mean?! hahahaa


ok story time is over. hope it was eventful.  once again, don't think anyone reads my blog sooo this was just a fun little recap for me!
